Vinyasa means a specific sequence of breath-synchronized movements used to transition between sustained postures. This dynamic form of yoga focuses on flowing between postures while maintaining deep, rhythmic breathing, to help achieve strength, increase endurance, release tension, and create more flexibility in the entire body. Options are provided for beginners, intermediate and advanced students.
Vinyasa for Surfers
Moderate Intensity | Open Level
This flowing, vinyasa style class is designed to strengthen, stretch and rejuvenate the body where surfers need it most. Each class awakens and energizes the entire body and can be practiced before or after your surf session. Learn to stay loose, warm, and focused before and between sets and then to melt away tension post-surfing. All levels of yoga students as well as surfers are welcome.
Restorative
Low Intensity | Open Level
A gentle class designed to help you relax deeply and heal the effects of physical and mental stresses. Renew yourself through a combination of nurturing physical postures, pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation. In this class you’ll be led through a gentle flow of movement before settling in to more deeply relaxing, passive postures supported by various combinations of pillows, blankets and more. This therapeutic class will soothe the body and quiet the mind though the activation of the parasympathetic (rest and digest) nervous system to create a deeply effective healing process within you.
Gentle Flow
Low Intensity | Open Level
This slow-paced, vinyasa style class melts away stress and tension in your body as you flow through poses that cultivate focus, while increasing your strength and flexibility. This safe space allows students from beginners to advanced to deepen the breath, tap into inner strength, and become more aware of the relationship between the mind and body. Special attention is placed on foundational principles of postural alignment & skillful breathing. Great for beginners or those wanting to take it a slow and easy.
Prenatal
Low to Moderate Intensity | Open Level
Available by appointment.
This is a class for all stages of pregnancy. Yoga sequences designed to help alleviate physical discomforts and aids in reducing stress during pregnancy. Prepare your body and mind for birth and beyond by learning yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation, and body awareness. Great for postnatal mom.
